Personal Information

I grew up in Alabama and graduated from Jacksonville State University in 1976 with my BS in psychology. After spending a couple of years in the Houston area, I moved to Austin and became a partner in Chippery Gourmet Cookies. The company began as a retail chain and evolved into one of the leading frozen cookie dough manufacturers for the foodservice and fund raising industries. I was involved with all aspects of sales and marketing. Chippery was purchased by Otis Spunkmeyer in 2005 and to this day is a significant brand within that company.

Upon retirement from the cookie dough business, I opened Port A Kayak in Aransas Pass, TX. The company was founded out of my passion for fishing the Texas Coastal "skinny water" renowned for it's fantastic redfish and speckled trout fisheries. 

My wife Eileen and I had a small coastal cottage in Rockport for three years before we left our home in the Hill Country to permanently live in "Paradise". My interests include fishing (and more fishing) and gardening/landscaping. My wife has a passion for photography of local area birds and wildlife and I am allowed to serve as her chauffer on occasion.We have one grown daughter who  lives in the Austin area.

Professional Information

I began my career in real estate by buying small residential properties in the areas for rental income and in due time I began buying distressed properties to remodel and re-sell.  I began building new constuction homes and soon my interests were directed to becoming a licensed Texas REALTOR . After a couple of years of working for a national real estate franchise, I felt that there was a better and more effective way to represent buyers and sellers. To be honest, I was not sure what those components were but I was fortunate to meet and team up with a couple of real estate professionals who shared the same vision...and shortly thereafter we opened Shoreline Real Estate in Rockport. There are many things that set Shoreline and myself apart from the crowded category of real estate agents. Our exposure to the world through the internet and my personal work ethic will prove to be the right choice for you.
